Butter Smoooooth and Convenient

This set up is definately a must have! Compact and out of the way when not in use but substantial when it's time to rep some drills! This is way smoother than just grass and carpet and keeps the board nice and clean. Best investment for any boarder! Don't think just pick it up!

Refueled excitement for snowboarding!

Hesitated for a while on buying the butter pad but so glad that I did! As someone reexploring snowboarding in his thirties and as someone who hasn’t been on the slopes enough the past few years and honestly been on and off for longer than I’d like to admit, the butter pad has legitimately gotten me motivated and stoked for off season training - from practicing on the pad itself to experiment with other creative ways to practice without it.

The pad is for sure slick, and it’s true that shavings can come off so definitely follow the advice re waxing. It’s actually slick to the point where it’s important to be mindful of how much space you have around the pad - I was practicing presses on a carpet prior and when I try on the pad there are times I fear that I’ll send it off the pad into a wall/rail on my small apartment patio - so my advice here is to just slowly work your way up at the pace you’re comfortable with and gear up accordingly.

There’s only 2 reasons I didn’t give 5 stars - 1) it is a bit hard to separate the pieces once they’re put together - an instruction video for storage, disassembly, and any maintenance would be greatly appreciated! 2) Compared to some of the videos from The Butter Dojo, I think the 64x64 pad seems smaller than what I see the team practicing on, but I could be wrong. But assuming most people practicing are on boards between 140-160cm, I think it’d be nice to have a bit more surface area to work with - minor nitpick but I’d personally feel a bit more confident attempting spins with more surface area to land on and not have the board hang over from time to time.

Overall the pad is well worth the investment! I’ve had it for less than a month but it serves for great practice from presses, spins, edge control, and is just a fun way to do cardio without thinking about it. Future things that would be cool to see would be a carrying case as I’d love to carry the pad with me to session with friends as the noise isn’t the best given I live in a small apartment complex, and the ability to buy expansion pieces. Also if you’re hesitant because of the price, I spent quite a bite of time looking at alternative options like msnow, JF desk, freeslope, and even options off AliExpress, and I can honestly say it’s a very fair price although shipping will obviously vary depending on where you live, but we’ll worth the investment. Excited to progress and host practice sessions with friends and attempt things on the slopes for the first time before the season ends!

Great idea

Improvement: it cant be unassembled and reassembled easily for storage. For people who live in an apartment, the space is critical
